National Youth Week
National Youth Week (NYW) provides a platform to reach young people aged 12 to 25 in every Australian State and Territory. National Youth Week is coordinated by the Youth Bureau of the Australian Government Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) in collaboration with the Departments responsible for youth affairs in all States and Territories
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is an independent Australian Government statutory authority. It was formed in 1995 to administer the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Prices Surveillance Act 1983. The ACCC promotes competition and fair trade in the market place to benefit consumers, business and the community. It also regulates national infrastructure services. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that individuals and businesses comply with the Commonwealth competition, fair trading and consumer protection laws. In fair trading and consumer protection its role complements that of the state and territory consumer affairs agencies which administer the mirror legislation of their jurisdictions, and the Competition and Consumer Policy Division of the Commonwealth Treasury
Bureau of Meteorology (BOM)
The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is the national meteorological authority for Australia. It provides weather forecasts, warnings and observations for all states and territories of Australia. There is also information about climate, hydrology and other weather services such as weather charts, radar images, satellite images and marine weather
Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA)
The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is the Australian Government statutory authority responsible for the efficient management of Australian Government fishery resources on behalf of the Australian community and key stakeholders. AFMA manages fisheries within the 200 nautical mile Australian fishing zone (AFZ) and, in some cases, by agreement with the Australian States, to the low water mark. In doing so, AFMA provides management, advisory, compliance and licensing services and implements appropriate fisheries management arrangements
Commonwealth Grants Commission (CGC)
The Commonwealth Grants Commission assists the Government in determining the annual allocation of general revenue assistance among the States and Territories. The Commission makes recommendations to Government on how Australian Government funding that benefits indigenous persons might be distributed on a needs basis
